The Australian thriller is set to debut at the Cannes Film Festival this month. Crawl has won best director, actress, and cinematographer at Screamfest in LA and marks the debut feature film for twin brothers Paul and Benjamin China.
Crawl is a character-driven thriller set in an unknown, rural town. A seedy bar-owner hires a mysterious Croatian to murder an acquaintance over an unpaid debt. The crime is carried out, but a planned double-crossing backfires and an innocent waitress suddenly becomes involved. Now a hostage in her own home, the young woman is driven to desperate measures for survival. A suspenseful, yet darkly humorous chain of events builds to a blood-curdling and unforgettable climax.
Crawl has released its first trailer and it is nothing short of insane. The editing for the trailer is brilliantly paced and is topped off with an amazing score that ties it all together. With virtually no dialog, it manages to pull you in just by the sheer energy of each scene.
Early buzz for the film is extremely positive and has cult classic written all over it. The film is set for an early October release in the US on VOD. Check it out below.
Was NOT expecting something that awesome.
I will definitely try to hunt that one down if it ends up being even a fraction as good as it looks.
Yea I had the exact same reaction. It blew me away. It’s such an effective trailer. It should be hitting VOD in October so it should be relatively easy to find!
I really wanna see this! Super creepy.
