Another highly anticipated film premiering at Toronto International Film Festival is Brandon Cronenberg’s body horror film Antiviral. Brandon is the son of legendary filmmaker David Cronenberg and based on the trailer it certainly looks like the apple does not fall far from the tree. Body horror is something that David Cronenberg is very well known for so thematically Antiviral looks to be right at home with a film that has the name Cronenberg attached to it. The trailer features some disturbing images all backed by a creepy as hell score, successfully showing us that we are in store for a psychologically twisted tale that’s guaranteed to get under your skin.
“‘Antiviral’ follows Syd March, an employee at a clinic that sells injections of live viruses harvested from sick celebrities to obsessed fans. Biological communion – for a price. Syd also supplies illegal samples of these viruses to piracy groups, smuggling them from the clinic in his own body. When he becomes infected with the disease that kills super sensation Hannah Geist, Syd becomes a target for collectors and rabid fans. He must unravel the mystery surrounding her death before he suffers the same fate.”

Well that was creepy as shit.
Yes, it definitely leaves an impression! I love the score for the trailer, super creepy.
That score! Oh my, I believe I even have goosebumps (not easily done!)
It seems very promising!
YES! I felt the same way, the score has an immediate impact. Hopefully the film is as good as the score alone.
I certainly hope so!
This sounds insane.
Agreed!
