The Mondo Gallery in Austin, Texas is gearing up for their classic Universal Monster show with the work of dozens of world-renowned artists including Rick Baker and Drew Struzan. The show will run from October 19th through November 10th with a special never-before-seen look at some of legendary poster artist Drew Struzan’s work. I can’t wait to see what Struzan has done because almost everything that man has touched has been absolutely phenomenal.
Until then, we get to take a first look at a poster from Laurent Durieux as he made his own version of the Universal classic The Mummy starring Boris Karloff. I really like this poster, it’s a solid new entry into the Mondo gallery and has a fantastic old school look to it with a lot of great detail.

I wish I could be in Austin to see this, but I’m glad you’re posting the pictures. Very cool.
Oh man, same here. It would be an absolute blast to see one of these galleries in person but the next best thing is posting them up here! Glad you’re liking them.
I hate that I always miss out on conventions and special events like this. Aside from a few small comic book cons I’ve never been. Thanks for the photos, Ryan!
I know how you feel man! Especially where I live (in the middle of nowhere) it’s nearly impossible to go to anything cool like these galleries. The internet is the best we’ve got!
