As promised, the World War Z trailer is here and it looks massive. The scale of this film is insane and from the trailer alone you can tell that this is a very loose adaptation of the Max Brooks novel which is definitely something that might make a few fans upset. It’s a huge CGI fest and almost looks like a Roland Emmerich film which was not what I was expecting. Also, these zombies run insanely fast, so fast that they flood over one-another almost like water. It’s pretty crazy and definitely a new twist on what we usually see our zombies doing. I generally prefer my zombies to go the old-school route of walking and grunting, but for what this film is going for I think the fact that they run makes more sense. It’s supposed to be chaotic; and nothing says chaotic like a running zombie.
This Marc Forster directed zombie flick will hit theaters June 21, 2013.
“The story revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself. Enos plays Gerry’s wife Karen Lane; Kertesz is his comrade in arms, Segen.”
What do you guys think?

One Word: BAAAAAAAAADAAAAAAASSSS!!!!
Wow, I’ve never looked more forward to a Pitt film. The zombies look pretty awesome climbing over each other like that.
Yea the way the zombies move in this looks INSANE. Especially the way they stampede! Worst case scenario right there. I’d much rather have to fight a walking zombie over these things.
I really want to see this!
Though, Brad Pitt better live. Man, zombies scare me.
If anyone can stop a zombie invasion it’s Brad Pitt.
Two Words: Fuck Yeeesssshhh!!
Okay, this movie looks AWESOME. And a loose adaptation is fine but if I’m remembering the book at ALL correctly (and I might not be because I read a whole bunch of zombie books around the same time) this looks nothing like the book. I’m kinda thinking they just slapped the name on this film so more people would see it…but again I could be misremembering.
No, you’re exactly right. The only thing this film and the book have in common is the title from the looks of it. Still looks pretty ridiculous, kinda wish they would have just given it a different title!
Oh good, I thought it was just me. But yeah, it totally looks off the chain (is that still a saying? Probably no…). It looks KICKAWESOME!! And I will totally watch it.
Yay!!! I loved this book 🙂
That looks immense!
The first half of the trailer is set in Glasgow (which apparently looks like Philly?), which makes me soooo happy, because (since I live here) I got a peek of the whole thing when they were filming it :)))
