New Imagery From ‘Bates Motel’ Introduces The Characters

The Hollywood Reporter has landed a handful of new imagery for the upcoming A&E series Bates Motel, giving us a great new look at the supporting cast along with new looks at Freddie Highmore as Norman Bates and Vera Farmiga as Norma.

The new set of pictures shows off Olivia Cooke as Norman’s friend, Emma; Max Theroit as Norman’s brother, Dylan; Nestor Carbonell as the town Sheriff; Mike Vogel as the Deputy and Nicola Peltz as Bradley, a girl at school Norman falls for.

The release date is still a mystery but the series seems to be moving along quite nicely for A&E so with this new set of photos I would expect an announcement very soon with an early 2013 release.

I’m still a bit curious to see which direction and tone this series plans on taking but with the solid cast led by the beautiful Vera Farmiga I think it certainly has a ton of potential.

“Bates Motel” will give viewers an intimate understanding of how Norman Bates’ psyche developed from his childhood through his teen years. Fans will have access to the dark, twisted backstory and learn firsthand how his mother, Norma, and her lover damaged Norman, helping forge the most well-known serial killing motel owner in history.

    1. Same here, I really want this series to do well. I haven’t had a chance to see American Horror Story but netflix just added the first season to streaming so I’ll definitely be checking that out now. And I googled “BatManuel” and OH MY GOD. lol

  1. I’m sorry, but the phrase “Norman Bates’ high school sweetheart” just seems all kinds of wrong to me. I’m interested to see where they go with this, but I’m not sold yet.

    1. lol yea it’s a bit strange considering it’s a prequel to a film that was made in the 60’s! There’s a picture on THR of Highmore listening to his Ipod as Norman Bates…
