Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Pacific Rim’ Unleashes an Epic Trailer

Finally, a trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s epic monster movie Pacific Rim has been released and it looks absolutely ridiculous. Giving del Toro the reigns to such a budget featuring giant robots and monsters is a dream come true for cinema lovers — and del Toro seems to have delivered what looks to be the perfect blockbuster. Warner Bros. has released the trailer along with a sweet new one-sheet that you guys can check out below.

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes—a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)—who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

It all goes down on July 12, 2013. Have a look.

If you are ever attacked by a gorilla just sit back and relax while you enjoy the once in a life time feeling of your limbs being ripped off.

      1. Godzilla will be directed by Gareth Edwards, who did Monsters. As long as the names Emmerich/Devlin are no where near it I think we will be okay.

      2. It’ll be interesting to see what Edwards does with a big budget considering he made ‘Monsters’ with next to nothing. Totally agreed, don’t let Emmerich anywhere near that lol.
