You guys might remember The Twilight Zone movie that Leonardo DiCaprio’s production company Appian Way has been trying to bring to life. Since director Matt Reeves (Let Me In) dropped out of the film; not much has seemed to be moving forward for the project. Now, CBS and Bryan Singer (House) are looking to bring Rod Serling’s classic sci-fi show back to the small screen. Will this spell disaster for the long talked about film? Unfortunately I think it will, especially once Singer gets the ball rolling. Reportedly, all CBS needs is a writer and that the project is already in its early stages of development.
I’m really looking forward to a film version of The Twilight Zone but with news of a pending TV show, I can see it getting dumped. Maybe if all goes well, the film can tie into the TV series. The original show ran for a total of 5 seasons that began in 1959. It made a very brief return in the mid-80’s as well as a season which was hosted by Forest Whitaker in 2002. The Twilight Zone is such a classic TV series and as long as Singer brings something fresh to the table with a solid cast I think we will be getting something pretty awesome.
Yay!!! Twilight zone 😀
Woohoo!!
