Take a quick look at the picture above. That right there is what it looks like when you shit your pants at summer camp. These kids just learned exactly who Stumpy Sam is and The Legend of Beaver Dam. Well guess what? It turns out, Stumpy Sam isn’t a “legend” at all, but a living, breathing beast of the darkness that hates campfires and singing — making summer camp a nightmare zone.
Jerome Sable and Eli Batalion’s crowd pleaser at Sundance, Toronto, Sitges and over seventy other festivals around the world has finally hit iTunes in all of its bloody glory.
The 39 second trailer below is pure horror gold, so I strongly urge you to check out the entire 12 minute short as it is pretty much brilliant. You can download the short film in its entirety right here, and remember kids, never say Stumpy Sam’s name three times or you will have a lot more than burnt marshmallows to worry about.
“The genre-bending short film tells the story of Danny Zigwitz, a nerdy youngster who needs to save his fellow campers from a bloody massacre when a campfire song awakens an evil monster.”
