[UPDATE] Is This Roque Banos’ Score From the ‘Evil Dead’ Remake?

[UPDATE] It looks like this really was the score for the film as Sony has forced DarkIslandFilms to take it down due to copyright issues. I guess those of us who listened to it early can consider ourselves lucky!

DarkIslandFilms is a YouTube user who posts music from TV, video games, and films and claims that the 10 minute track he uploaded just recently is music from the upcoming Fede Alvarez-directed Evil Dead. While it has yet to be confirmed that the music below is in fact the real deal, it’s still absolutely gorgeous. It fits into the Evil Dead theme beautifully by going from a very subtle and innocent sound to something thrilling and haunting.

Even though it is unconfirmed, I’m pretty confident that this is the music from the film. Roque Banos has created some real tension with his score that leads you straight into bone-chilling territory. Give it a listen below and let me know what you think.

Five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

If you are ever attacked by a gorilla just sit back and relax while you enjoy the once in a life time feeling of your limbs being ripped off.
