Interview with the Vampire director Neil Jordan has returned to the bloodsucking genre for a new generation with the much anticipated vampire flick, Byzantium. It’s a much needed darker look at the genre — starring Saoirse Ronan and Gemma Arterton — and I’m glad to finally have a trailer to show you guys.
Two mysterious women seek refuge in a run-down coastal resort. Clara meets lonely Noel, who provides shelter in his deserted guesthouse, Byzantium. Schoolgirl Eleanor befriends Frank and tells him their lethal secret. They were born 200 years ago and survive on human blood. As knowledge of their secret spreads, their past catches up on them with deathly consequence.
After following this film for what seems like an eternity, it’s nice to finally see a trailer that doesn’t disappoint. IFC has picked it up for U.S. distribution but no word on its release, so stay tuned.

If I had known about it sooner I would of booked time off. But since I injured myself a couple of weeks ago and am on crutches, its not ideal timing, even if I could skip work. Hopefully be another one in the UK this summer and Ill be there for sure!!
