Hitting limited theaters on April 19th is Rob Zombie’s latest bizarre trip into the world of horror with The Lords of Salem. Anchor Bay has released the official trailer for the film and it is much better than the boot-leggy version we got months ago. The newest trailer is absolutely jarring and is a quick reminder that this isn’t your typical trip into the horror genre as Zombie seems to have created his most mature film to date. After its premier at TIFF this year the reviews came in very mixed to say the least. It seems that there was absolutely no middle ground — it was either loved or hated which is exactly the kind of response I would expect from a Rob Zombie film. And after seeing the first official trailer, it’s safe to say that I’m even more excited to see what The Lords of Salem has in store.
“From the singular mind of horror maestro Rob Zombie comes a chilling plunge into a nightmare world where evil runs in the blood. The Lords of Salem tells the tale of Heidi (Sheri Moon Zombie), a radio station DJ living in Salem, Massachusetts, who receives a strange wooden box containing a record, a “gift from the Lords.” Heidi listens, and the bizarre sounds within the grooves immediately trigger flashbacks of the town’s violent past. Is Heidi going mad, or are the “Lords of Salem” returning for revenge on modern-day Salem?”
What do you guys think? Are you excited to see what Rob Zombie’s latest feature has to offer?
Watch the trailer below and let me know what you think.
Yep! I’m Excited! Bring It On!!!
😀
-B.
Hell ya! Me too man, cant wait.
That looks all kinds of crazy! Not seen any of Rob Zombie’s other stuff but this looks awesome.
His films are really sort of gritty and have a grindhouse vibe to them. Not everyone likes his style but this film looks totally different from your typical Zombie flick. It looks pretty wicked though!
Very cool, but I think I liked the last trailer better!
I will say that while the first trailer definitely had the WTF factor, I like this one much more simply because I can watch it in HD lol. The last one was dark and very hard to see.
For sure. I like this one too, just enjoyed the feel of the first more. HD is a big winner though!
Yeah, it looks interesting; I can see why some would either love it, or hate it. I am not sure which side of the fence I will be on just yet. But I am interested enough to watch and find out.
Aaaaaaaaaaaah I cannot wait! I have been far too excited for months now!!
I am beyond excited for this movie. Rob Zombie is pretty much my favorite person in the world.
Hahah, he’s a great director and I like his gritty no strings attached style. I’m really excited for this as well, despite the fact that it’s getting reviews that range from amazing to pure crap.
Patricia Quinn?! I’m pleased. This is one I’ll even pay to see.
Hell yea, it looks pretty wicked for sure. And Patricia Quinn is definitely a good reason to check it out.
