‘The Terror’ Headed For AMC

After the ridiculous amount of success that The Walking Dead has brought to AMC it’s not surprising that they are jumping right back into the horror genre with The Terror. According to Deadline, the series will be an adaptation of the 2007 bestselling novel by Dan Simmons and it sounds like all sorts of horror gold.

Set in 1847 when the crew of a Royal Naval expedition to find the Arctic’s treacherous Northwest Passage discovers instead a monstrous predator – a cunning and vicious Gothic horror that stalks the ships in a desperate game of survival, the consequences of which could endanger the region and its native people forever.

Sounds pretty badass right? The series will be adapted by David Kajganich who knows a thing or two about adapting novels as he has also scripted new incarnations of Stephen King’s ITPet Semetary and The Stand. Kajganich will executive produce with Scott Free’s David Zucker and Ridley Scott, TV 360, and Alexandra Milchan.

If you are ever attacked by a gorilla just sit back and relax while you enjoy the once in a life time feeling of your limbs being ripped off.

  1. Fuck yes. Not enough period shows on TV right now. I hope it’s cooler than Hells on Wheels, graphic as Walking Dead, and as badass as Mad Men. Oh, and I want it to last 2 seasons. Any more seasons on an Island and I check out. Sorry, LOST.
