It’s no secret that the Marc Forster directed World War Z has been plagued with problems since it started shooting, but despite everything seemingly going wrong, it looks like they’ve created — if anything — one hell of a looking zombie flick. The latest trailer shows a lot of new footage but strangely enough they never give us a close up of the zombies which is odd considering that’s exactly what this film is about. I’m still iffy with the entire film, not because it barely resembles the novel, but because of all the CG. Obviously with the direction they’ve taken this film to be more of an action summer blockbuster CG was the best answer so we’ll see how this turns out. I’m setting the bar low as of right now though.
United Nations employee Gerry Lane traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments, and threatening to decimate humanity itself.
Below you’ll find the new trailer as well as a wicked new poster. Check them out and leave your thoughts!
Awesome trailer. I just wish it wasn’t called World War Z. It’s nothing like the book…. Pisses me off so much.
Yea for sure. We’ll see what they do with it, hopefully it’s as fun as it looks.
Having read the novel myself, World War Z seems like a gamble. Hopefully (I really, truly am keeping my fingers crossed), the film is a winner. I am being extremely skeptical, though! Here’s a look at the Super Bowl trailer awhile back on Vlizz: http://vlizz.com/2013/02/05/super-bowl-2013-movie-trailers-iron-man-3-star-trek-into-darkness-and-more/
Being skeptical is definitely the best way to go into this one. I think if we stop trying to compare it to the novel and just try to have fun with it, I think it’ll be a surprise!
Woah, that is certainly a better trailer than the first one. Doesn’t look too bad but the CGI zombies looks a little ridiculous. Maybe they aren’t tweaked yet but that was my only complaint with it. I’ll be there opening weekend for it!

Yea man I think that is the same complaint that many people are having. I don’t think they would have gone the CGI route if the film weren’t depicting SO MANY zombies — they almost move like a flood of water — so going CG seems like the obvious choice but we’ll see. If it looks like crap then nothing will save this film.
Poster does look cool and the trailer looks far more entertaining than the first 😀
Hell yea man! Love the poster and the second trailer showed much better footage to get us excited.
I have 4 trailers to get reviewed! This is one and I am excited to examine it. The first disappointed me 😦
Never read the book, so I’m going into this with no expectations. Looks like fun!
