Haunting official poster for ‘The Conjuring’

James Wan’s The Conjuring made a pretty big splash in the horror community when it released its first trailer just a few weeks ago and now we’ve got the first official poster for the flick and it’s one of my favorites of the year so far. A truly creepy design that keeps it simple with a old-school horror vibe.

As I’m sure you know by now, The Conjuring is actually based on a terrifying true story of the paranormal investigation done by Ed and Lorraine Warren. I did a lot of digging around and researched the events that inspired the film and was actually helped by Andrea Perron, who after 30 years finally let her story be known of what happened to her and her family in that truly haunted place — so if you haven’t read the true story yet, be sure to follow this link and check it out. Whether or not you’re a believer, it’s one hell of a story.

Before there was Amityville, there was Harrisville. Based on a true story, The Conjuring tells the horrifying tale of how world-renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren were called upon to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in a secluded farmhouse. Forced to confront a powerful demonic entity, the Warrens find themselves caught in the most terrifying case of their lives.

The film stars Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Ron Livingston, Lili Taylor, Joey King, Shanley Caswell, Haley McFarland, Mackenzie Foy, Kyla Deaver, and Sterling Jerins.

If you are ever attacked by a gorilla just sit back and relax while you enjoy the once in a life time feeling of your limbs being ripped off.

  1. Can’t wait to see this. I have yet to be disappointed by Wan. I’m digging Farmiga in Bates Motel too. Thanks!
