First teaser poster for Spike Lee's Oldboy remake

Here’s a look at the teaser poster for Spike Lee’s Oldboy remake which you guys can take a peak at below! It’s nice to finally see some stuff for this flick being thrown our way and it’s only a matter of time before we start getting stills and what not. I was definitely on the fence with this remake for a while but seeing how much I enjoyed the recent Evil Dead I’m pretty much open to anything at this point.

OLDBOY is a provocative, visceral thriller that follows the story of an advertising executive (Josh Brolin) who is abruptly kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment.

Co-starring Elizabeth Olsen and Sharlto Copley, Oldboy was directed by Spike Lee, from a script by Mark Protosevich (I Am Legend, The Cell, Thor). The film was produced by Roy Lee, Doug Davison and Nathan Kahane.

    1. I really think this one is going to surprise a lot of people, just wait until we see more. I have high hopes!

    1. The original is amazing, as most are but the cast alone for this thing makes it worth checking out I think.

      1. Spike Lee is just the strangest choice for this, though. I can’t think of anyone else off the top of my head, but there has to be a director more suited to the material. Sadly, I also have no faith that the adaptation will have any balls to it. I bet it doesn’t go as far in terms of narrative.

    1. Yea man, I have high hopes, I’ve been really looking forward to this one I think it’ll surprise a lot of people!

    1. Yea it’s definitely a poster that fans of the original will get right away so unless you’ve read the synopsis it really wouldn’t make any sense! I’ll take this over a floating head any day tho!

  1. I haven’t seen the original in years, but I remember it left me utterly speechless. I hope this remake will do the same! I adore Lizzie Olsen, and I’m glad they chose her for the part.

    1. You and I think alike! You’re right, the original is brilliant and did just what you said, left me speechless. Agreed Olsen is amazing — as well as the rest of the cast. You can’t argue with a cast like this. I like that Brolin went out of his way to make sure he got the blessings from Park Chan-wook, really shows what a cool dude he is. If you cant tell, I’m pretty excited!
