I’m not gonna lie, I sort of dismissed All Cheerleaders Die at first; mostly because it was giving off this Jennifer’s Body vibe (which I thought was terrible) in the sense that it sounded like an excuse to get a few gorgeous girls half naked and tear shit up. When I write it down like that I guess I can’t see why I was against this one in the first place now that I think about it. At any rate, the trailer finally dropped and it’s absolutely worth checking out.

If you need a little bit more convincing: how about the fact that Lucky McKee, director of The Woman, is at the helm? It’s an unusual looking little horror flick, but that’s just part of its charm. This one already looks like its poised for one of those films you would call a “guilty pleasure”, but time will tell, folks! Give it a watch, you’ll thank me later.

When tragedy rocks Blackfoot High, rebellious outsider Mäddy Killian shocks the student body by joining the cheerleading squad. This decision drives a rift between Mäddy and her ex-girlfriend Leena Miller – a loner who claims to practice the dark arts. After a confrontation with the football team, Mäddy and her new cheerleader friends are sent on a supernatural roller coaster ride which leaves a path of destruction none of them may be able to escape.

Caitlin Stasey, Sianoa Smit-McPhee, Brooke Butler, Tom Williamson, Reanin Johannink, Amanda Grace Cooper, Leigh Parker, Jordan Wilson, Nicholas S. Morrison, and Chris Petrovski star in All Cheerleaders Die, which is currently looking to release in the spring 2014.
