Simon Pegg’s paranoid horror-comedy A Fantastic Fear of Everything has just been handed a VOD release of January 7th before it heads into its limited theatrical run on February 7th. With its new release date comes a new trailer that paints a dreamlike atmosphere for the Crispian Mills-directed feature film and it looks pretty damn interesting.
It’s certainly a strange looking little film, but Pegg seems to be doing his best work here as he always shines when he tackles a film that’s grounded in dark comedic roots. One of my favorite performances of the year was Pegg in The World’s End, so I’m really looking forward to seeing what he’s got in store with A Fantastic Fear of Everything. Check out the trailer below!
Jack (Simon Pegg) is a children’s author turned crime novelist whose detailed research into the lives of Victorian serial killers has turned him into a paranoid wreck, persecuted by the irrational fear of being murdered. When Jack is thrown a life-line by his long-suffering agent and a mysterious Hollywood executive takes a sudden and inexplicable interest in his script, what should be his ‘big break’ rapidly turns into his ‘big breakdown’, as Jack is forced to confront his worst demons, among them his love life, his laundry, and the origin of all fear.
Simon Pegg, Amara Karan, Clare Higgins and Paul Freeman all star.
Solid trailer but I have heard very, very mixed things about the film. Still will be checking it out though!
Yea, same here. Reviews seem to be up and down, so we’ll see!
Seems to be fantastic but somewhat Disney-like toward the end. What’s up with Pegg’s hair? Is that the worst hair style you ever seen?
Hahah yea, it’s pretty bad huh!
