Almost Human trailer offers old school scares

IFC has just released an official trailer for the festival favorite Almost Human from director Joe Begos and it looks like a blood soaked trip back to the 80’s. Screams of terror, practical effects and a chilling score all wrapped up in an indie film that looks a lot like something John Carpenter would have created back in his prime!

After being picked up by IFC not too long ago they have finally given Almost Human a date as it will arrive on VOD and select theaters on February 21st.

Mark Fisher disappeared from his home in a brilliant flash of blue light almost two years ago. His friend Seth Hampton was the last to see him alive. Now a string of grisly, violent murders leads Seth to believe that Mark is back, and something evil is inside of him.

Graham Skipper, Josh Ethier and Vanessa Leigh star.

If you are ever attacked by a gorilla just sit back and relax while you enjoy the once in a life time feeling of your limbs being ripped off.

  1. I didn’t know about this one. Looks cool and that poster is epic. Looks like the cover of a Shout Factory blu ray. Great post! I’ll keep my out for this one. Thanks!

    1. The poster is amazing. It’s by “The Dude Designs” who does a ton of old school stuff like this for horror movies. And it’s funny you mention Shout Factory because he did their blu-ray release of They Live.

      1. They LIve? Ah, that’s it, then! Didn’t know that. I actually have that blu ray and I keep showing it off. His work rules. 🙂

  2. They should three or four sequels about ‘Almost Human,’ and they should do twenty to thirty more special makeup effects like almost an hundred body inflation bladders fx.
