Last week we saw the fantastic trailer for Jeremy Saulnier’s revenge tale Blue Ruin, and since we’re starting to inch closer to its release date, a gorgeous new poster has been released that is quite literally mind-blowing. The art comes from the film’s official twitter account, but unfortunately they didn’t say who created this stunning piece of art so I can’t give credit where credit is do. It’s such a simple design with only a few shades of color, yet it carries with it multiple interpretations and is every bit as brilliant as it is complex. Hope you guys like it!
Blue Ruin will mark the return of Saulnier who last graced the silver screen with his savage indie horror-comedy Murder Party back in 2007.
A mysterious outsider whose quiet life is turned upside down when he returns to his childhood home to carry out an act of vengeance. Proving himself an amateur assassin, he winds up in a brutal fight to protect his estranged family.
Blue Ruin opens on April 25 in US theaters and on VOD, it stars Macon Blair, Devin Ratray, Amy Hargreaves and Kevin Kolack.
He looks like Nic Cage!
Wow, you’re right! Now I can’t unsee it. Thanks.
Good poster for a great film!
