If you make it to the final seconds of this trailer your brain is never going to forgive you.
The cats behind Grave Encounters have been hard at work on Extraterrestrial, a pretty ridiculous looking cabin in the woods tale that sees a handful of friends find themselves on the wrong side of a pissed off alien’s probe. Their latest indie effort is really putting an emphasis on this whole probing business as the film comes with the hashtag: Get Probed. Don’t worry, you’ll see why.
While the whole cabin in the woods set-up is far from new, adding aliens to the equation offers a unique pulse to the genre that could actually work. The Vicious Brothers have taken the small setting of a lonely cabin in the woods and turned it into something that looks off the wall nuts and surprisingly massive in scope. Is this going to be a good movie? I’ll have to get back to you on that one. The trailer, however, is pretty awesome.
Extraterrestrial hits VOD on October 17th.
Five friends set out to a cabin in the woods for a fun weekend getaway—that is, until extraterrestrial visitors turn it into a fight for their lives. The group is pulled from their reverie when a flickering object crashes deep in the woods. As they investigate, the friends stumble across an alien spacecraft, and its inhabitants have not arrived in peace.
Brittany Allen, Freddie Stroma, Melanie Papalia, Jesse Moss and Gil Bellows all star in this one.
Out of control! The poster is rad though!
These indie films always have the best posters. Hollywood should take notes.
Haha #GetProbed 😀
