Into the Further we go…
Here it is, folks. The newest chapter in the terrifying Insidious series, written and directed by franchise co-creator Leigh Whannell. With James Wan stepping away from the franchise, it couldn’t have been left in better hands as Whannell hopes to deliver the darkest chapter yet with Insidious: Chapter 3.
The trailer is fantastic, showing off the kind of atmosphere we’ve come to fear from the franchise as the darkness of the Further continues to deliver some of the best haunts the genre has seen. While we still have to wait until May 29th to really find out what kind of movie this is going to be, the trailer is a brilliant start and one that should get fans of the series plenty excited. This chilling prequel, set before the haunting of the Lambert family, reveals how gifted psychic Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye) reluctantly agrees to use her ability to contact the dead in order to help a teenage girl (Stefanie Scott) who has been targeted by a dangerous supernatural entity.
Insidious: Chapter 3 stars Dermot Mulroney and Stefanie Scott alongside Lin Shaye, Angus Sampson, and Mr. Whannell, with the latter trio reprising their roles from the first two movies in the franchise.

That’s what I’m excited about as well. Should be interesting as a prequel.
Although prequels aren’t my favorite, I am so excited for this! I have really enjoyed both movies so far!
Yeah I also was iffy on a prequel idea but i think they’re going to make it work with this one. Looks good.
