The Clown is back, and yes, he’s still freaky as shit.
The Eli Roth-produced Clown took the world of horror by storm when we saw the first trailer for the film way back in January at the beginning of the year. Where the hell has it been? I’m not so sure but the timing couldn’t have been better to dish out a new poster, and that’s exactly what we have here today. Clown is actually seeing a release next month in Italy, but there’s no word on when TWC-Dimension plans on dropping this one off in the U.S.
When we first caught wind of Clown nearly a year ago, people really responded to it in that holy shit this looks scary as hell kind of way, so I’d be surprised to see TWC-Dimension sit on this one much longer; especially if the early word on the film is positive.
If this is the first time you’re hearing about Clown, Eli Roth jumped on board to produce the project after seeing the ridiculously cool faux trailer by Jon Watts. Once Roth got involved, Clown turned into a full blown feature film about a loving father that finds a clown suit for his son’s birthday party, only to realize the suit is part of an evil curse that turns its wearer into a killer. How awesome is that?
I couldn’t find a good version of the U.S. trailer, but an updated international one is now available, offering some creepy new footage. While there are no subtitles, you’ll pretty much get the gist of what’s happening. A grown ass man with a painted on smile wearing rainbow colored pants is pretty terrifying in its own right. But one that’s being turned into a murderous, twisted version of the costume against his will is on an entirely different level of terrifying. Check it out!
Clown stars Peter Stormare, Laura Allen, Christian DiStefano, Elizabeth Whitmere, Matthew Stefiuk, and Andy Powers.
Umm. No. No, thanks. Lol 🙂
Yikes. I can’t believe I’m going to voluntarily watch a Clown movie. (whenever it hits the States) I’m probably going to hate myself afterwards. lol
Hopefully it will be worth it!
Jesus Christ.
*shivers* Clowns haunt me in my nightmares…reminds me of the childhood fears. Haha!
Clowns scare everyone I think!
