The wonderful thing about good (even some bad) art is that sometimes a single imagine can tell an entire story, and French artist Jérémy Pailler has done just that with his new art gallery, Horror Genesis Collection. It’s a beautiful collection that depicts the very origins of some of horror’s most iconic monsters from Pinhead and Cujo to Freddy and more. Pailler’s art is as unique as it is haunting, as stunning as it is terrifying, and manages to capture the very heart and tone of the film in which the monster was born.
When it comes to art as gorgeous as Pailler’s horror collection, sometimes you just have to let the art do all the talking, which is what I’m going to do. You’ll find his Horror Genesis Collection below, making up of 10 brilliantly crafted pieces of art that tell the beginning story of some of horror’s most feared monsters. If you can’t figure out what movie some of these are from (that’s part of the fun) just ask in the comments! Enjoy.
These are fantastic. Particularly dig The Innocents.
That’s a great one. I’d like to see him take on other films, he has such a unique style.
Very cool work. I think the Cujo one was my favorite.
Huge fan of that one! Love the bat hanging from the top.
The shapes themselves reminds me of ink blots or Rorschachs, very cool.
That’s a great point! I wonder if he was going for that kind of look?
Let’s tweet this dude and ask! haha
There’s an idea!
Wow. These are so, so sexy. I am not sure what movie it is, but I’ll venture a guess that it’s called ‘Leprechauns’ (or something similar), but that one is my favorite. Although all of these are stunning works. Thanks for sharing this
Yup, that’s Leprechaun! Really dig that one as well.
Nice 😀
Very awesome!
One word – WOW.
