Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak is a rare breed of horror film coming our way later this year—rare in that it’s a big budget Hollywood picture dripping with classical gothic horror, and to much surprise has been given the R-rated treatment with an A-list cast backing it all up. So, in other words, the potential for del Toro’s latest is through the snow-covered roof and a possible horror classic in the making. Today’s our lucky day, too, because the first official trailer is here, in all of its stunning glory.
I’m at a loss for words here. It’s a gorgeous looking film far beyond anything we’ve seen out of the genre in a very long time, and with Guillermo del Toro behind it all, I’d say we should be rightfully excited for his epic haunted house of horrors.
When her heart is stolen by a seductive stranger, a young woman is swept away to a house atop a mountain of blood-red clay: a place filled with secrets that will haunt her forever. Between desire and darkness, between mystery and madness, lies the truth behind Crimson Peak.
Del Toro’s supernatural mystery stars Tom Hiddleston, Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska and Charlie Hunnam.

Almost the whole film is in that bloody trailer, but gods does it look amazing anyways! Plus, Hiddles…. mmmmmmm….
Cant’ wait to see Hiddleston in this one, especially after his role in Only Lovers Left Alive. He’s a great fit for horror.
I, uh… still haven’t seen that one… *cowers*
Do it!
I will, I will! One of these days….
I’ll be watching this one. Is it safe to say that Hunnam will not be wearing his SOA kutte in this one?
I think it’s under his suite jacket!
Lol!
Okay, okay, I am going to be honest. I skipped through this because I don’t really want to know too much when I go in to see it cause I am really excited about it. Except for Charlie Hunnam maybe (I feel he is such a second rate actor), the rest looks fantastic! I love the cast and the costumes. The bits of the trailer I saw? Amazing.
Yeah, Hunnam is definitely the question mark here. I guess it depends on his role, but it doesn’t seem like he’s a huge part of the film. We’ll see tho!
Crossing my fingers they keep it small…
