One of the most talked about gems out of this year’s SXSW Film Festival was Chris Blaine and Ben Blaine’s Nina Forever. The film looks fantastically messed up, which is exactly what it wants, claiming to be a totally fucked up fairy tale. I really dug the borderline creepy teaser that we saw back in March, but it only did just that—tease. The new trailer, however, does a good job of setting up its story and giving us a peek at the characters who find themselves in the oddest of situations.
Described as a darkly comedic romantic horror film, Nina Forever is essentially about a dead ex-girlfriend who appears out of thin air, bloody and tangled, every time Rob and Holly make love. Yeah, I told you it gets weird.
Nina Forever follows Holly, as she begins a relationship with her co-worker Rob, who is grieving over the recent death of his girlfriend Nina. Holly has fallen for Rob and is determined to help him though his grief. Yet every time they make love, Nina appears; tangled, bloody and still fixated on Rob. Holly doesn’t freak out and run—she can deal with the dead girl sharing their bed, their lives, their minds. If it’s what Rob needs, it’s what she’ll do, regardless of what the consequences may be.
Nina Forever stars Abigail Hardingham, Cian Barry and Fiona O’Shaughnessy.

Had a good giggle watching this trailer. On a side note, what the hell is going on with that girl’s chest in the poster? The one on the left? Something is so not right there, considering she is naked and such.
Lol I noticed that too!
