Brutal first look at Psycho-Head from Rob Zombie’s 31

Since wrapping production on his latest shocker 31, Rob Zombie hasn’t been shy about promoting his Halloween-set horror piece, and today is no different with our first look at Lew Temple as Psycho-Head. Here are some words on the character from the man himself, Rob Zombie: “Psycho-Head is a real mean piece of shit best described in his own words… ‘count yourself lucky you got fucked by the best!'” I’m both excited and terrified to see this guy come to life on screen, especially after seeing this new still. Yes, that’s a chainsaw (without a chain) and some poor soul tied down in front of him. Ouch!

With its nutty blend of terrifying carnival clowns and that nasty Rob Zombie touch, 31 looks like it’s going to be one of his best films yet. There’s still no release dat just yet, so hang in there.

31 follows five carnival workers who are kidnapped the night before Halloween and held hostage in a large secret compound known as Murder World. Once there, they have 12 hours to survive a terrifying game called 31 in which “The Heads” – murderous maniacs dressed as clowns – are released to hunt them down and kill them.

Malcolm McDowell, Sheri Moon Zombie, Jeffrey Daniel Phillips, Richard Brake and more star in the film, which was recently picked up by Alchemy for distribution here in the States.

If you are ever attacked by a gorilla just sit back and relax while you enjoy the once in a life time feeling of your limbs being ripped off.

  1. Haha that quote from the man himself is perfect. I’m pretty interested in this, looks brutal (as it should).

  2. Looks….. creepy… as it should…. there’s always just something slightly amiss about Zombie’s movies….

      1. Lords of Salem definitely had its moment. It’s without a doubt Zombie’s best looking film yet. He really just needs to make a complete, solid film from beginning to end.

      1. Definitely. I think he’ll eventually put all the right pieces together, hopefully starting with this one!

      2. Finger crossed! I’ll always give his films a whirl but like Eric said they just miss the mark a little usually…hopefully not with this one 🙂

  3. I like Zombie’s movies for the most part…I just wish Sheri would take some acting classes, though she is better than some other actresses/actors in the same genre.
