Director Adam Egypt Mortimer recently saw his feature film debut World Premiere at this year’s Stanley Film Festival, and now that we finally have a release date, the film’s first ever trailer is here in all its disturbing glory! With so many great indie horror films already out and even more on the horizon, Some Kind of Hate has been lost in the swarm of releases. Hopefully this trailer solves that little problem because it looks like a wicked good time and one that breathes new life into the slasher genre.
Image Entertainment picked up Some Kind of Hate for a fall release, which will see the female-driven slasher arrive on VOD this September 18th.
When a troubled teen is subjected to severe bullying, he accidentally conjures Moira Karp. Once a teenage girl pushed to suicide, Moira is now an unstoppable force on a mission of gruesome retribution. But when she goes too far, he must prevent her from spiraling out of control in this passionate and vividly violent revision of the slasher horror genre.
It stars Ronen Rubinstein, Grace Phipps, Sierra McCormick, Noah Segan, and Michael Polish.

The juvenile-delinquents-in-rehab angle sounds good, the Bloody Mary-via-Freddy Krueger villain looks promising, the lead actress is gorgeous, and, well, any title taken from an old Misfits song has got to be a positive sign. Will definitely check this out.
Definitely! There seems to be a lot going for this one, let’s just hope it’s as good as it looks!
Spectacular trailer at the very least. Love the way that builds. Will keep an eye out for this one!
Glad you liked it! It’s not getting nearly enough attention, so hopefully this will help spread the word!
