Some of you may remember the fantastic teaser (below) for Dan Berk and Robert Olsen’s Christmas-set thriller Body, which we first caught wind of back in January. With a new poster—one that channels the brilliant Saul Bass—and a release date set for later this year, I finally have an excuse to bring this one back to your attention. It was one of the films that I missed at the Stanley Film Festival and I’ve been regretting it ever since. The film has had a heck of a festival run with a lot of positive buzz surrounding it, so it’s most certainly one to keep an eye on. Check out the minimalistic poster below, it’s one solid piece of art!
Oscilloscope Laboratories will release Body in cinemas this winter.
A darkly funny and twisted journey taking place entirely on one unforgettable Christmas Eve, Body revolves around a trio of college co-eds whose dalliance with breaking-and-entering goes horribly awry. Sneaking off to a secluded mansion to party, the young girls are faced with dire choices after they unexpectedly encounter the property’s groundskeeper.
The festival favorite stars Helen Rogers, Alexandra Turshen, Lauren Molina, and Larry Fessenden.

Hmmmm… Really digging the poster but less sure about the movie itself. The positive buzz is a plus (obvis!) but it kind of just looks like the typical “crazy guy kills girls in house” flick (unless I’m missing something?). I think this’ll be a maybe.
Yeah, early word is that it’s pretty good but you’re right, it does have that very formulaic looking story. Hopefully there’s more to it!
Diggin’ the poster. Will have to wait and see if the movie can deliver the same kind of style! 😉
Yeah it’s a great poster! Looks just like Saul Bass’ stuff!
