Gimme Some Sugar, Baby: Ash vs. Evil Dead Kill of the Week, Ep. 1

Rather than recapping each episode of Ash vs. Evil Dead with a review (boring!), I’m going to highlight the episode’s best Deadite kill because that’s what really matters, right?

This week’s episode of Ash vs. Evil Dead, El Jefe, follows our titular hero 30 years after his last Deadite fight, who unleashes the Evil in an act of stoned stupidity, bringing Deadite mayhem into his life again.

Deadite Kill of the Week: Reuniting with a Chainsaw!

Unsurprisingly, the first episode of Ash vs. Evil Dead doesn’t hold back in the carnage department, stacking a franchise worthy body count in just 45 short minutes. While the first official deadite kill is head-spinning greatness, it simply doesn’t compare to the moment Ash and his trusty chainsaw reunite. After laying waste to some newly possessed souls in his trailer, Ash finds himself up against the sweet old lady from next door, only now she’s fueled by demons and out for blood! In grand fashion, Ash reunites with his chainsaw (thanks to his Value Stop pal, Pablo) and chops off her head in one fell swoop, leaving nothing behind but a bloody corpse. The reason it earns kill of the week, however, is because Ash is back, baby, and it’s time to dance!

So there you have it, the Ash vs. Evil Dead Kill of the Week! Did you guys watch Ash’s return to Deadite-slaying badassery? What did you think of the first episode and what was your favorite kill?

If you are ever attacked by a gorilla just sit back and relax while you enjoy the once in a life time feeling of your limbs being ripped off.
