Gimme Some Sugar, Baby: Ash vs. Evil Dead Kill of the Week, Ep. 3

Rather than recapping each episode of Ash vs. Evil Dead with a review (boring!), I’m going to highlight the episode’s best Deadite kill because that’s what really matters, right?

In this week’s episode of Ash vs. Evil Dead — Books From Beyond: A mysterious woman finds the destruction at Kelly’s parents’ farm. Meanwhile, Ash, Pablo and Kelly reach Books from Beyond with the Necronomicon and Fisher finds herself in another terrifying, inexplicable situation.

Deadite Kill of the Week: The Undo Button!

In brilliant Ash Williams fashion, he decides to summon a demon from the book of the dead (don’t worry, it’ll be a small, harmless one) so that he can ask it how to undo the evil in which he released: what’s the worst that could happen? Of course, the demon they summon is a nasty piece of work, a monster spawned from hell that can quite literally destroy your mind—oops! Once summoned, Ash’s boomstick proves to be useless when things go wrong, as both he and Pablo get caught in the demon’s evil grip. With nothing else working, Kelly gets her first kill of the week by destroying the demon with the Necronomicon! It’s a great moment in the series because we not only get to see a new demon from the book of the dead, but they explain where the Necronomicon came from and how it works. How cool is that!?

So there you have it, the Ash vs. Evil Dead Kill of the Week! Did you guys watch Ash’s return to Deadite-slaying badassery? What did you think of the latest episode and what was your favorite kill?

If you are ever attacked by a gorilla just sit back and relax while you enjoy the once in a life time feeling of your limbs being ripped off.

    1. If you’re a fan of the franchise then you couldn’t ask for anything better. The only reason this show exists is because the fans wouldn’t leave them alone about bringing Ash back, so it’s a real treat in that regard. It’s certainly more Army of Darkness than Evil Dead, but it each episode is 30 minute of pure, blood-soaked gold and Ash kicks so much ass. So far the first three episodes have been simply amazing. So far so good!
