After delivering one of horror’s most jarring performances in recent years as a religious cult freak in The Sacrament (review), Gene Jones is back in the genre with Mike Testin’s psychothriller Dementia. Its first trailer hints at a Misery-inspired narrative, one that sees the fantastic Kristina Klebe as a nurse with a sinister secret and it looks like a twisted, dark piece of work. While the film has been mostly under the radar, hopefully the trailer grabs the attention it deserves.
Look for Dementia this December 4th on VOD.
Diagnosed with dementia, war veteran George Lockhart must deal with his estranged family. Son Jerry and granddaughter Shelby force him to hire a live-in nurse. Only to find she harbors a sinister secret.
It stars both Kristina Klebe and Gene Jones alongside Richard Riehle, Marc Senter, Peter Cilella, Graham Skipper, Molly McQueen, Tony Denison, and Hassie Harrison.
