Rob Zombie’s 31 trailer welcomes you to Murder World

Right on the heels of last week’s new poster for Rob Zombie’s maniac clown thriller 31 is the film’s very first trailer, and it’s pretty much everything we imagined it would be—killer clowns tormenting the shit out of a group of people on a Halloween night. And it looks every bit like a Rob Zombie film, which is great news depending on who you ask, so if you like his stuff or even remotely appreciate what he brings to the genre, then you’re probably going to dig the hell out of this trailer. I love that this is basically Rob Zombie’s version of The Hunger Games, if The Hunger Games were instead run by a bunch of murderous psychos dressed as clowns.

31 hits VOD on September 16th with a limited theatrical release to follow on October 21st.

Five friends are kidnapped on the day before Halloween and are held hostage in a terrifying place named Murder World. While trapped, they must play a violent game called 31, in which the mission is to survive 12 hours against a gang of evil clowns.

Malcolm McDowell, Sheri Moon Zombie, Jeffrey Daniel Phillips, Richard Brake and more star.

If you are ever attacked by a gorilla just sit back and relax while you enjoy the once in a life time feeling of your limbs being ripped off.

  1. i’m hopeful because this movie has potential to be awesome, but looks like every other zombie flick. despite the similar concept, maybe we’ll get to see some gory killing scenes!

    1. Yeah, it will definitely be interesting to see how much this one stands apart from the rest of Zombie’s stuff. While it does look familiar, I think the concept is right in his wheelhouse so it should be a pretty good time!

  2. Yes, yes, yes! Visually it looks gorgeous! This looks like it is going to be gory and fun – let’s see how this goes down. I enjoyed the trailer quite a bit. Looking forward to it!

    1. It does look great, Zoe! Some of the early reviews out of Sundance were quite positive, so I’m hopeful that it’s just as good as the trailer was. Can’t wait!
