After a crazy long delay—I first premiered the trailer over a year ago—Mike Flanagan’s Before I Wake will finally see the light of day, first at the Fantasia Film Festival and then in theaters on September 9th. It sucks that the delay doesn’t exactly inspire much confidence in Flanagan’s latest, because the film does have a great concept and the new trailer is miles better than the first. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see—fingers crossed!
A young couple adopt an orphaned child whose dreams – and nightmares – manifest physically as he sleeps.
It stars Kate Bosworth, Thomas Jane, Dash Mihok, Annabeth Gish and Jacob Tremblay.
Nice. It’s got Jacob Tremblay in it? Oh man, if his outstanding debut in Room was any indication of his potential, I can’t wait to see what he brings to horror. And he’s so young!!!!!
I still need to catch up on Room! I’ve only heard great things, especially about Tremblay. It’ll be interesting to see how he does in the horror genre, that’s for sure!
I am crossing my fingers! I have quite liked Flanagan’s work so far (no matter what people said about Oculus, and I loved Absentia, though Hush wasn’t my favourite). The trailer looks like it contains a great concept, so we will have to wait and see!
Oculus is such a solid flick, not sure why anyone wouldn’t like it! But you’re right, the trailer looks great, so hopefully the film is as well.
No one has their finger on the horror pulse as much as you Ryan 🙂
