Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead are a couple of names that need no introduction around these parts—they’ve been longtime supporters of our small community, who also happen to make ridiculously good movies, so I’m always excited to share their work with you guys. Following their poignant monsterpiece Spring (one of my favorite films of the last few years), Benson and Moorhead’s The Endless has been tearing through the festival circuit (and continues to do so), and we now have our first look at the film in the form a hypnotically eerie teaser trailer. I won’t spoil any of the goods here, but the teaser pretty much confirms all the hype is real—it’s full of striking visuals and the atmosphere is killer; it’s enough to send the skin crawling right off of your bones.
The Endless is out early next year and the wait is killing me.
Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead star as brothers who receive a mysterious message inspiring them to pay a visit to the cult they escaped as children. As unsettling events and phenomena begin to occur, the brothers are forced to question whether the cult’s supernatural beliefs might not be entirely made up – and if, now that they’ve returned, they’ll be allowed to leave again.
It stars Justin Benson, Aaron Moorhead, Callie Hernandez, James Jordan, Lew Temple, Tate Ellington, Emily Montague, and Peter Cilella.
Oh my gosh, I totally forgot about that movie, Spring. You had me really amped to see that and then I totally lost sight of it. Damn, I wonder if there’s a way to catch up with it….
Yeah, dude, you really outta check that one out. It’s a helluva film. And you should be able to find it on most streaming platforms.
Ryan. I think I have really missed something on The Missing Reel. Spring (and Resolution0 are also my favourite movies of last years, I even gave them the highest rating 🙂
You didn’t mention Vinny Curran who is back on set too; he and Peter Cilella seem to be playing the same characters as in Resolution? Because the characters’ names are the same.
Both are so good! Glad you enjoyed them, too. Now we wait for The Endless!
This looks like one of those films you would never forget. Thanks for the heads up!
Oh for sure. If it’s anything like their previous films, this one will certainly do that.
