There’d be no horror genre if it weren’t for characters making bad decisions, which is why Chris McInroy’s latest short is so delightfully on-brand. We Summoned A Demon is about exactly that—summoning a demon (duh)—and it proves that no matter how badly you think you want something, black magic is never the answer.
There’s a reason why McInroy’s short played at more than 100 film festivals—it’s a crowd-pleasing blast of gooey practical effects, and it’s all fueled by two hilarious performances from its brain-dead characters. I’d say more but then you wouldn’t be watching this wonderful short. So dig in already!

“…no matter how badly you think you want something, black magic is never the answer.”
Lol, that is a great line. Truer words have never been spoken.
Needs to be on a T-Shirt!
The review is full of intelligent one-liners. My favorite: “There’d be no horror genre if it weren’t for characters making bad decisions.”
Lol, thanks!
This is hysterical, I’m kind of in love. Also, did his arm grow back, lol?
Lol, I think the demon just sliced his arm. There was so much blood tho, so who knows!
