With Lars Klevberg’s Child’s Play re-imagining hitting theaters in just a few weeks, I thought now would be a great time to showcase the short film that put his name on the map—Polaroid. It hits all the genre notes you would expect from a haunted house yarn, only this one is centered around a demon-spawning Polaroid camera… It’s much better than it sounds, I promise. You’ll quickly see why Klevberg’s short landed him a feature film gig—he navigates the genre quite well and creates a terrifying atmosphere in just a few minutes. That last shot is the stuff of nightmares.

I was a little skeptical of the premise, but it’s way better than it sounds – just like you said. So tense!
