Before The Conjuring there was Annabelle; watch the new trailer!

It’s only just a doll.

The first trailer we saw back in July played more like a short film as it offered up a look at how Annabelle got her terrifying start in the possessed doll business. Now, New Line’s supernatural spinoff of The Conjuring has an official trailer that digs much deeper into the story surrounding Annabelle

John R. Leonetti—who acted as cinematographer on The Conjuring—has definitely picked up on some of James Wan’s tricks, which quickly becomes apparent in this new trailer. The gamble to give Annabelle her very own feature film after the massive success of The Conjuring looks to have paid off for the studio.

Annabelle will leave her mark in theaters on October 3rd.

John Form thinks he’s found the perfect gift for his expectant wife, Mia—a beautiful, rare vintage doll in a pure white wedding dress. But Mia’s delight with Annabelle doesn’t last long. On one horrific night, their home is invaded by members of a satanic cult, who violently attack the couple. Spilled blood and terror are not all they leave behind. The cultists have conjured an entity so malevolent that nothing they did will compare to the sinister conduit to the damned that is now… Annabelle.

Annabelle Wallis, Alfre Woodard and Ward Horton all star.

If you are ever attacked by a gorilla just sit back and relax while you enjoy the once in a life time feeling of your limbs being ripped off.

    1. Haha, right? I’ll admit that I was very skeptical about it at first. It sounded like they were just trying to bank on the success of The Conjuring and make a ton of cash with Annabelle. After seeing the trailer, though, it looks pretty awesome.

      1. See, I very rarely watch a trailer purely as I feel they ruin the scares or give something away. I’ll watch a teaser on occasion and even the teaser for this worked for me.

    1. Yeah, without a doubt The Conjuring is going to go down as one of the best haunted house horror movies ever made. Brilliant film. Annabelle looks solid and will no doubt find success at the box office. Hopefully it makes for a good companion piece to The Conjuring.
