James Wan’s latest genre outing, The Conjuring 2, will no doubt be the biggest horror film of the year, especially if it’s as well received as the first one. And now, after years in development and at one point moving forward without Wan at the helm (thankfully that didn’t last long), we finally have the first trailer and it’s unmistakably a James Wan film, brooding with a creeping atmosphere and turning even the most subtle imagery into pure nightmare fuel. What more is there to say about a film that needs absolutely no introduction?

And while most sequels are a quick cash grab, The Conjuring 2 is another passion project from Wan, and it’s one that’s based on yet another true story (read that here), and it looks insane. Look for The Conjuring 2 in theaters on June 10th.
