Crazy first trailer for psychokinetic shocker The Mind’s Eye

Joe Begos hit the genre running with his throwback thriller Almost Human, and now he’s back with another 80s inspired shocker in The Mind’s Eye. Seriously, the movie looks like it has just been rediscovered after being left on a shelf for the last thirty years—driven by a heavy dose of practical effects and bloody carnage, The Mind’s Eye is a wicked looking indie thriller from one of horror’s most exciting new talents, and now we have a fantastic trailer to prove it!

The Mind’s Eye is out in Theaters and VOD on August 5th.

Zack Connors and Rachel Meadows were born with incredible psychokinetic capabilities. When word of their supernatural talents gets out, they find themselves the prisoners of Michael Slovak, a deranged doctor intent on harvesting their powers. After a daring escape, they are free from his sinister institution, but the corrupt doctor will stop at nothing to track them down so that he may continue to siphon their gifts for his own use.

It stars Lauren Ashley Carter (Darling, Pod), Graham Skipper, John Speredakos, Noah Segan (Looper), Matt Mercer, Larry Fessenden, and Jeremy Gardner.

If you are ever attacked by a gorilla just sit back and relax while you enjoy the once in a life time feeling of your limbs being ripped off.

  1. Cool. I feel like it’s a grittier mash-up of De Palma’s THE FURY, with some creepy Cronenberg SCANNERS and a dash of THE BROOD! I’ve always wanted some telekinetic powers, but they always seem to get the people who possess them into a world of bloody trouble. Also, Larry Fessenden should just be in everything.

    1. Everything you just said is about as good of a description as you could give this movie. It’s very Cronenberg, which is no doubt a great thing! Agreed about Fessenden. Dude is a national treasure! Glad to see him popping up in virtually every indie horror movie, too!
