A simply terrifying theatrical poster for You’re Next stares back at you

One of my most anticipated horror films of the year goes to Lionsgate’s insane looking home invasion thriller You’re Next from director Adam Wingard. There is now an all new official theatrical poster for the flick and it’s simply terrifying. It’s not too flashy or over the top, it’s just a shot of one of the masked killers standing in the doorway with a machete in hand staring right back at you. It’s pretty awesome. The text is a nice little touch as well. I think you guys will dig it!

When a gang of masked, ax-wielding murderers descend upon the Davison family reunion, the hapless victims seem trapped…until an unlikely guest of the family proves to be the most talented killer of all.

The film stars Sharni Vinson, AJ Bowen, Joe Swanberg, Barbara Crampton, Ti West, Wendy Glenn, Nicholas Tucci, Kate Lyn Sheil and Amy Seimetz.

You’re Next is headed to theaters on August 23rd.

If you are ever attacked by a gorilla just sit back and relax while you enjoy the once in a life time feeling of your limbs being ripped off.

    1. No doubt man! If it weren’t for the bidding war we would have seen this film a couple of years ago like we were supposed to. Among horror fans who got to see this one make the festival rounds a couple of years ago, this one is supposedly an absolute blast and utterly insane. I’ve been waiting a while to see it. Glad it’s just finally coming out!

    1. Haha. Yea it’s crazy what we find so terrifying. Usually it’s not the expensive make-up and special effects but the cheap masks like this one. Looks creepy!

  1. I think I’m a little home-invasioned out. Ils is awesome, The Strangers could have been good but made some stupid choices, and I saw the trailer for this in the theater last week. I think I’d catch it on Netflix. But that is a good poster.

      1. What? That goes to show you how much I paid attention to that trailer.

Oh, wait. Did he not have a beard in it? That’s some misleading bullshit!

      2. Yea no doubt, especially from the synopsis if the “unlikely guest of the family proves to be the most talented killer of all” ends up being Bowen. Then good god…..

  2. Most terrifying are those that are a likely possible situation that you can imagine. one of my favorites The Strangers.

      1. 🙂 I enjoyed The Purge also….would of liked a better ending…but was good. im a fan of all things Paranormal an Scary…even if they are bad…still have to watch! excited for The Conjuring…cant beat Scary Movie Birthday Month!
