One of the many great looking films to be coming out this year is Ben Wheatley’s High-Rise, the adaptation of J.G. Ballard’s novel of the same name. And while we still don’t have a definitive release date, the latest poster promises that it’s coming soon. It’s also a wonderful tease that taps into the film’s main theme by making the poster ridiculously tall. And the tagline, “Welcome to the high life…” is just perfect.
Check out the poster below and be sure to watch the trailer (here) if you missed it!
When a class war erupts inside a luxurious apartment block, modern elevators become violent battlegrounds and cocktail parties degenerate into marauding attacks on “enemy” floors. In this visionary tale, human society slips into violent reverse as once-peaceful residents, driven by primal urges, re-create a world ruled by the laws of the jungle.
The film also stars Luke Evans, Jeremy Irons, Sienna Miller and Elizabeth Moss.
looks a bit like “Lord of the Flies” with adults instead of children…
Definitely a great comparison. Can’t wait to see how it turns out!
me too!
Amazing poster. I thought this was pretty decent at the LFF.
